A study shows that there is at least a 90% chance of finding your dog after being lost. However, the numbers will go down to 55% to 65% after 24 hours. Eventually, the numbers run out as each day passes by.

Monica Mathis, a former resident in Iowa, unfortunately, lost her cute golden terrier mix dog named Hazel. She tried to find her dog for weeks and weeks on end but to no avail. After a long time trying, she finally gave up and saw a reason to move to Minnesota.

The owner spent her day off scrolling through the posts in her Facebook feed for hours, and what she sees next is a big thing that came as a surprise to her. She saw her lost dog’s face imprinted in a beer can!

Motorworks Brewing houses the largest beer garden in Florida, USA. They recently came out with a beautiful idea of imprinting local shelter dogs’ faces in their beer cans in the hopes of raising awareness and money. Their campaign got support from international news teams like CNN, Good Morning America, USA Today, ABC World News, and even in The Ellen Show.

As the company’s campaign got recognition and support from the media outlets, it paved the way for Monica to see her beloved Hazel again after their three long years of separation. Here’s the story of how she reunited with Hazel:

Monica later revealed that her dog, Hazel, got a microchip. However, she failed to update the contact information and resulted in her not being able to find her lost dog. The shelter tried to call her, but they weren’t able to contact her immediately.

This story is an excellent reminder to all pet owners to update their contact information in microchips to avoid an event like Monica’s happening again.
