This mother of three ended up giving birth in a shipping yard, but that was okay. The employees there were glad to help their little family. Food and shelter were not an issue, but everyone agreed that the dog and her puppies would be better off somewhere else.
The mother was still fragile from giving birth, and her puppies could barely walk. They could easily have an accident during operation hours, and the staff members busy enough as it was. They knew they had to remove the dog and her puppies from the premises.
That didn’t mean they had to become homeless. The owner of the shipping yard took it upon himself to let the Hope For Paws know. The rescuers arrived and saw the mama dog first thing.
The dog didn’t look too happy to see the rescuers. But when they started throwing bits of food at her, she relaxed. Before long, she was accepting the treats with an enthusiasm that they weren’t expecting.
The two rescuers slowly approached the dog to see what her reaction was going to be. The guard noticed and asked them what they were up to. After it became clear that it was the owner who asked them to come over, they were allowed to continue.
They were able to capture two of the three puppies with ease. The third puppy, on the other hand, was too scared to come with them and ran. They focused their efforts on the mother dog first, but they soon caught up with the remaining puppy.
With the mama dog and the three puppies secured, the rescuers could now drive them to the hospital. There, they were checked up by the vet and were treated to a nice bath. Their old life was now behind them.
