There are times when we need somebody we could lean on, like, literally. Do you remember the times when you can’t sleep at all despite drowning yourself with a bunch of pillows and fluffy blankets? But then, sleeping becomes a breeze when you have somebody you could cuddle with?

Somehow this kind of things happens even among animals, particularly dogs. If you have a bunch of dogs at home, you may have seen your dogs cuddle with each other at least once, most likely during the cold. But it’s not just during cold times dogs cuddle. And they don’t just cuddle to get some sleep. Sometimes, they hug because they want to, for as long as it’s with somebody they could trust.

Despite her large body size, Mathilda the Bulldog is a sweet pooch. She loves hugs and cuddles, too. At home, she lives with another dog, a pug, whose name is Kiki. Despite their huge size difference, both dogs are inseparable, and apparently, they love spending time cuddling with each other. That’s how it goes, at least for Mathilda because it has always been the Bulldog who initiates the cuddles. Try playing the video below and see what we meant by that:

Perhaps because Mathilda is the bigger one, the smaller dog, Kiki complies with Mathilda’s efforts to cuddle. It’s a sweet gesture, but at one point, it became a concern for the owners of both dogs. If Mathilda is not careful, she might end up unintentionally squashing the tiny Pug with her big body. But we’re pretty sure Mathilda is the gentle kind and won’t overdo her cuddling. After all, she seems to love the little dog like it’s her little sister. Would the bigger sister squash her younger sibling? We guess not.
