Finn is a German Shepherd police dog who knows telepathy. It’s incredible to watch him on stage during his audition at Britain’s Got Talent. What’s even more incredible is his ability to bring judge Simon Cowell, the tough cookie that he is, to tears with his heroic story.
Finn and his owner, police officer Dave Wardell, have been working together for the past seven years. They are inseparable especially after an incident that happened back in 2016. That incident almost took Finn’s life.
Dave was attacked by a suspect with a knife. Finn courageously jumped between Dave and the attacker taking the stab himself. Wounded Finn would stay under the care of veterinarians and cling to his life.
For days, the veterinarian took care of Finn and would save his life. Finn is a wounded warrior and hero. Dave’s lifesaver.
After two years, Finn had fully recovered to good health and is looking better than ever. He’s now back to give the world a great show with his incredible talent.
Dave and Finn went up on Britain’s Got Talent stage and called on judge David Williams to write down any object he could think off on a piece of paper. Dave asked David to show it only to Finn and hold it close to his chest to keep it away from Dave’s sight.
David wrote the word “table” and showed it to Finn as instructed. David went back to his judge’s table, and this is when the magic happens.
Dave knelt by Finn and asked him to whisper the words that David showed to him. After making sure that David confirmed that there’s no way Dave could have read the word he wrote, he then goes to reveal that Finn told him that the word is “table”.
The crowd cheered in amazement. Moments after the cheering stopped, Dave shared how Finn had saved his life through a video they played for everyone to see.
The room was suddenly silent as they watched and everyone was touched by Finn’s heroism and his survival from the incident.
Everyone was moved to tears including Simon Cowell. All the judges agree that dogs are so brave they would literally give up their life for you. Simon gave them their first yes and so did the rest of the judges.
