When Brandon Caroll was deployed overseas, he never expected that a sweet pup would steal his heart. So at the end of his deployment, Brandon goes to lengths to make sure his furry friend comes home with him.
Brandon meets Lady
In August last year, Brandon Caroll was sent to Georgia for his deployment. But little did he know that he wouldn’t just fulfill his duty as a soldier while being there but also care and love a puppy with all his heart.
He and a few other colleagues found a mama dog and her six litter of puppies while on duty. It was wintertime, and the dogs didn’t have anyone to care for them. The soldiers knew that the dogs wouldn’t survive on their own. So, the men scooped up the canine family and brought them back to base.
Brandon bonded with a sweet and dainty pup whom he named Lady. He and Lady developed a deep connection while they were at the base. Brandon took good care of Lady. In return, Lady gave him all the love her heart has to offer.
Brandon was set to fly back home to Indianapolis in early 2021. He spent all of his time bonding with Lady before his flight. He knew he would miss Lady as soon as he leaves her.
Lady flies to her forever home
But before he bids Lady goodbye, Brandon researched how he could bring the pup to the states. That’s when he came across SPCA International, a global animal rescue that promotes the safety and welfare of animals around the world.
With SPCA International in the picture, Lady could fly to the US and reunite with Brandon. Both the pup and the soldier couldn’t be happier at their reunion. Lady was warmly welcomed in her new home. Brandon and his wife, along with their other dog, made sure Lady feels loved and comfortable. The pup settled quickly in her new environment.
But the good news doesn’t end there. All of Lady’s littermates were adopted into their new forever homes as well!
Lady certainly deserves her new home and family, especially because her human is someone she has known since she was a tiny puppy. Of course, Brandon is just as delighted to have his furry best friend by his side.
