An eighteen-month-old Golden Retriever service dog named Atlas met his doggie idol, Pluto, for the first time at Disney World, and he was ecstatic. The meeting, which took place in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot Center, was brief but was nevertheless the most memorable day for this happy canine.

Atlas is the proud service dog of Julian Gavino, a man with a rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. He got him just a few months ago, and he gave him a stuffed Pluto that he adores.

An annual pass holder, Julian takes Atlas to Disney World once a week in the hope of letting this die-hard fan meets his ultimate idol. He often sees him playing or napping with the stuffed Pluto at home, so Julian could not wait to see his reaction when he sees the “real” one.

The rare encounter finally happened over the weekend. Atlas could not hide his excitement – he started wagging his tail the moment he saw Pluto. The equally excited Pluto got down to his height, so they could touch snout-to-snout as their way of saying hello.

Atlas and Pluto could not get enough of each other, and it was simply impossible to ignore. This out-of-this-world meet-and-greet was caught on video, and Julian decided to share it on social media.

The heartwarming video went viral in an instant. Julian was in utter disbelief that it already had over a million views.

A Golden Retriever is among the most loyal breeds, so it makes a great service dog. It is trained to help its owner not only to overcome obstacles but also to lead an independent life. And Julian could not thank Atlas enough for being at his side, so he knew he deserved this treat – a magical experience at the happiest place on earth.

Watch the video below and see how smitten Atlas when he saw his idol for the first time.
