Some people whose dogs are missing for quite a long time may give up, believing that the unthinkable has already happened. But sometimes, miracles happen in ways that a lot of us don’t understand.
A woman named Linda, a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, has lost her dog to a thief. The dog, whose name is Blue, has been missing for a year, but with some stroke of luck, the pup has found his way back to Linda.
Here’s Linda and Blue’s heartwarming reunion story:
Blue comes home
Last year, Linda was in the process of moving to Nashville. However, she had to return to California to get her remaining things. So, she decided to leave her pup at a boarding facility. Allegedly, it was the caretaker who stole Blue.
Over the next few months, Linda searched for her pup only to find nothing. But an unexpected twist in her story came in.
An unnamed and kind stranger turned in the dog to the animal control center named Metro Animal Care and Control (MACC). He believed that Blue was a stray.
But soon enough, the caretakers discovered that Blue had a microchip, which contained Linda’s old address in California.
Blue remembers Linda so well!
The reunion between Lunda and Blue is full of tender and heartwarming moments. Blue immediately runs to Linda, a great sign that he remembers his owner.
The MACC says that when Linda arrives at the shelter, she is anxious, obviously wondering whether the dog will remember her or not. But Blue even remembers all the commands and hand signals Linda has taught him.
The MACC also shares that the dog is quite shy and not very vocal while at the shelter. But everything has changed when he senses Linda’s presence.
With this happy and hopeful reunion, the MACC promotes the advantages of microchipping and constantly making sure that the details in the chip are accurate and updated.
