We often hear stories about animal abuse and neglect. It’s unfortunate that these things still happen today. However, some people rescue these animals and give them a loving forever home.

Some dogs that suffer abuse and neglect find it hard to adjust to a normal life. Some dogs don’t even know how to act like dogs. It’s always sad to see rescue dogs not knowing how to play, but it’s also heartwarming to finally see dogs learn about dog things for the first time in their lives.

A rescue pitbull named Lexy had been locked indoors for years. She was kept to produce puppies for her previous owner to sell. Thankfully, she was rescued and adopted into a loving family who tried everything to make her feel loved and be a part of a real family.

At first, Lexy found it hard to adjust to her new life. She didn’t even know what a dog bed was. Lexy also didn’t know how to play with toys. She just wasn’t interested. However, her new mom showed her what she’s been missing in life.

Lexy had so many things to learn about being a dog. Lexy’s new mom, Jenny Mackay, showed and taught her so many things about what it’s like to be a part of the family and what she’s been missing all these years. Lexy’s paws had no wear and tear, which meant that she’s never been outdoors.

Jenny and her husband decided to let Lexy experience the outdoors as much as possible. They even took her to a pet store where Lexy found a toy she liked, which is a stuffed toy that looked like a shark. Jenny was amazed by this behavior because Lexy didn’t even like toys.

Lexy eventually started to bring her toy shark everywhere. It became her comfort blanket and would always be found cuddling with it. Jenny even named the toy, Bruce.

The first time Jenny took Lexy to the beach, she was terrified of the water. She didn’t know what swimming was like. Of course, Jenny and her husband didn’t force Lexy into an activity that she didn’t like to do. However, one day while spending the day at the beach, another dog was swimming, and Lexy was so curious that she followed the other dog in the water.

Lexy learned what it was like to swim, and thanks to the random dog swimming, Lexy found a new activity that she loves doing, which was swimming. Lexy also loves meeting new people. However, because she was a pit bull, a lot of people don’t want anything to do with her.

To show people that Lexy is such a friendly and loving dog, Jenny started to dress Lexy up in cute outfits. This made Lexy more approachable, and people began to want to meet her. Little by little, Lexy’s changing the way people perceive pit bulls. Here’s an adorable video about a rescue pit bull who didn’t know how to be a dog turning into a dog that’s loving everything that life has to give.
