Aida became part of her family in Australia and gained a new friend in the process. She found a dog next door, Cashew, and started working on becoming pals.

While they quickly decided they would be best friends, their families knew they needed to find a way for these two obsessed puppies to spend more time together.
The two families decided to add a doggie door to connect their houses. Now, Aeida and Cashew control entirely how often they see each other.
They go back and forth to each house throughout the day. Aida even enjoys spending time with the neighbor’s kids. Nicole, Aeida’s mom, said she enjoys spending time with dogs and humans.

One evening, Aeida’s parents noticed she had been away from home longer than usual. They assumed she was visiting with Cashew.
Their neighbors messaged them that Aeida had decided the kids’ bath time was worth joining.

The neighbors had sent them a photo of Aeida sitting in the bathtub. As far as they knew, this was a first!
At home, Aeida doesn’t enjoy her baths, and her parents thought it was hilarious. For some reason, bathing at the neighbors seemed to be an enjoyable experience for her.
Now that Aeida realizes that bath time is available at the neighbor’s, she tends to head on over frequently. She loves it, and the neighbors love having her.
Since both dogs come and go to each house so often, they are now considered family at each home. This works out perfectly for Aeida. She can now participate in bathtime whenever she would like.
Every dog should be able to choose their friends!

Thanks to The Dodo for the original story and Aeida’s family for the photos.
