It’s quite unfortunate when puppies get injured. Fortunately, there are always veterinarians out there ready to serve and help puppies in need. Here is an inspiring story about how Planned Pethood Clinic treated two puppies with injured knees.

A woman named Jacklyn brought her two Yorkshire terriers, Sophie, and Trunks, to the vet. They were rescued dogs who had gone through horrible experiences. Both of them are very enamored with each other, and they never leave each other’s side.

The two dogs were having issues with their patella or kneecaps. Trunks had already undergone surgery in the past, but he was still experiencing discomfort. Sophie’s pain was new. According to the vet, knee problems are very common for small dogs.

The vet recommended standard patella surgery for Sophia. On the other hand, Trunks would undergo a few medical examinations to update the state of his kneecaps. They also had to be kept in the same Kennel before the surgery.

Two different veterinarians did surgery on Sophia and Trunks. Sophia’s surgery was aimed at adjusting the position of her patella to allow a better range of motion. The vet who did surgery on Sophia was very skilled and completed the operation without a hitch.

Trunks’s operation was also a success, but the vet who handled him found something odd. The suture that was used on him two years ago was still there. It was a type of suture that doesn’t dissolve and therefore caused discomfort.

Even if a previous vet opted to use a suture that doesn’t dissolve, it should rarely cause problems. Trunks was just unlucky. Regardless of his odd case, the important matter is that he and his sister are well. According to the vets, the two terriers will be able to run around after a few weeks of healing.
