If we can sum it up in one statement, dogs are furry friends with a child’s heart and soul. They like to play, they like to eat, and we have to watch over what they do throughout the day. However, there are plenty of odd things that they like which we may not be able to understand. Let’s see what some of these are.

Getting stinky

You probably notice your dogs like to roll around dirty surfaces to make themselves stinky. This behavior is deeply ingrained in their DNA as this helps hide their scent making them a stealthy ninja dog. Experts also claim that dogs like stench because their powerful nose can learn a lot of information from sniffing strong odors.

Eating alone

Dogs are social animals like us, and on top of that, they like food as much as we do. But how come they prefer to eat by themselves rather than with us? Hilariously, the proposed reason why this is the case is that they refuse to share their food with us. Try to take their food and you will surely get a death stare from your pooch.

Carrying his toys and dropping them at your feet

Studies say that this behavior comes from their wild dog days. Before they were domesticated, they carry their prey in their mouth and bring it to their den. This is the same thing that you have observed with their toys in their mouth and laying them at your feet like an offering.

Doing errands with you

No matter how far it is, and no matter how many things you have to do, they will always prefer that over being left at home. Dogs love you to death and they hate being left at home, especially if they are alone. So they absolutely cherish the times you take them out. It stimulates their curiosity and gives them a chance to bond with you.

Snacking on frozen treats

Dogs have a limited ability to sweat. Plus all the fur around their bodies, they need to cool off in any way they can. They pant a lot to help them with this problem. But you can help them out by giving them frozen treats. They love cold treats so much that they would even munch on ice cubes.
